Most, if not all, of us are aware of the story of the three kings/wisemen/magi (Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar) who visit baby Jesus and come bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Sixteen years of Catholic education, and I never really learned what the heck frankincense and myrrh were.
