Denver‘s major sports arena is the 19,000+ seat Pepsi Center. Came across an interesting article from the Rocky Mountain News that points out that the tenant with the largest attendance at the center is not the Denver Nuggets of the NBA (17,099 avg. attendance), nor is it the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL (16,728)… but rather the Colorado Mammoth of the NLL (17,426).
The WHO? of the WHAT? you ask? That’s the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. Yea, professional lacrosse is outdrawing basketball and hockey, at least in Denver.
