Treatment for stabbing? Sleep it off.

Posted by Gary on April 17th, 2008

Things you might forget before going to bed… especially if you’re a drunk Russian:

brushing your teeth
shower/bath
pajamas
a six-inch knife sticking out of your back

“Yuri Lyalin, 53, took a bus home, ate breakfast and apparently slept like a baby before his spouse noticed a handle sticking out of his back. “

Worst. Movie. Ever.

Posted by Gary on March 8th, 2008

They actually had the gall to call the new Anna Nicole Smith biopic “the most anticipated motion picture of the year.” If by “anticipated” you mean, will cause me to stick rusty ten-penny nails in my eyeballs if forced to watch it, then yea, I guess they’re right.

It’s headlines like this that make me proud to be a lifelong resident of Wisconsin:

Dead body? What dead body?

Posted by Gary on January 18th, 2008

Ok, I’ve forgotten many things in my life - keys, birthdays, appointments, phone numbers, instructions, anniversaries, my name, etc… but a dead body?
That’s what one Charles E. Gross of Pueblo, Colorado claims. Sure, he admits to shooting the guy in the head 7 years ago, but he shoved the body under his mobile home […]

Posted by Gary on January 15th, 2008

OK, so I was a day late (and so many dollars short), but TubaPants would like to wish the Smurfs happy 50th birthday.  Started by the Belgian artist Peyo, the Smurfs made their debut in comic strip form in 1958.
Some Smurfy links for you:

Posted by gary on January 1st, 2008

A while back I posted a pretty extreme gamer tattoo that I thought some of ya’ll might find interesting. Well, stumbled across another one in the same vein. This one’s a little more basic in its design, but equally representative of the old school nerd world.
Behold, the 20-sided die tattoo from hipsterplease.com:

Sick. Wrong. Tasteless. Kinda funny.

In an effort to push the envelope and get creative with their Halloween costumes, a couple of Penn State students have created quite a stir.  Facebook photos have recently surfaced of the students dressed in Virgina Tech apparel and sporting blood stains and bullet holes - a la the shooting victims in the Virginia Tech […]

Comedian + Rapper = Awesome

Now, you may have written off Kanye West following his meltdown during the benefit following Katrina. Remember Mike Myers’ face following “George Bush doesn’t care about black people?”
But, a chance meeting between between West and one of the funniest people on the planet, Zach Galifianakis, has resulted in another online viral phenomenon. Galifianakis created […]

How drunk do you have to be?!?!

Posted by Gary on July 11th, 2007

So this guy in Green Bay was driving drunk (big surprise). He hits two pedestrians (a man and a woman) on the East side of town. Does he stop to provide some sort of help? Of course not… Instead, he continues driving home and drags the woman for a ways.
Not only that, […]

Fruity cocktails = healthy

Posted by Gary on April 20th, 2007

Not since ketchup counted as a vegetable has there been a story that rocked the foundations of the food world like the research that was reported yesterday.  A group of U.S. & Thai researchers reports that the alcohol in fruity drinks actually enhances the antioxident nutrients in colored fruits.
No word on whether Dr. Buffet will […]

Was Alcohol a Factor?

Posted by Gary on March 14th, 2007

Here is the first installment of what I plan to be a regular feature here on the Pants. Stories about the exploits of Mensa rejects, and whether or not alcohol is listed as a factor in their shenanigans, entitled “Was Alcohol a Factor?”.
This first story comes to us from Billings, MT. Seems one […]
