Apparently, the teams new rules of conduct were written by 85 year old 2nd grade teacher.

Wikipedia defines it as “a form of object manipulation that focuses on the movement of objects such as balls in permanent contact with the body. Having little in common with “toss” juggling, it most typically involves the rolling of one or more completely transparent balls on the hands and arms to create visual illusions, such as that of a ball fixed in space.”

Ok, you’re gonna want to sit down for this one.

Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation are bringing a live-action/animated “Smurfs” project to the bigscreen.

I’ll give you a moment to let that sink in.

My favorite quote from the Variety article: “We’re very excited to introduce a new generation to Papa Smurf, Smurfette and the other smurftastic Smurfs in all of their ‘three-apple-tall’ glory.”

You gotta be smurfing kidding me.

Apparently this is old news, but it’s new to me. The Weinstein Company has announced the creative team behind a musical movie version of the Fraggle Rock tv series. I’m cautiously optimistic.

Gobo, Wembley, Boober (my fave), Red and Mokey head out into the world of the aliens (humans) and hilarity may or may not ensue. Interestingly (at least to me) Frank Zappa’s son Ahmet Zappa is the executive producer.

According to IMDB, watch for it in 2009.
